Wales is packed full of family friendly things to do and see on your holiday.  When the weather is good make the most of being outdoors and explore Wales in the sunshine.

3. Catch a wave on the Gower Peninsular

7. Head to the Welsh coast

Our beaches are some of the cleanest and most unspoilt in the UK.

Pack the family into the car and head off to the coast, choose from the famous beaches on the Pembrokeshire coast or the beautiful beaches on the mid west coast.

For breathtaking views over Llandudno, the Little Orme and Conwy Estuary take a family ride on the Llandudno Cable Car. 

The cable car will take you from the Happy Valley to the summit of the Great Orme, where you can explore the country park and nature reserve.

1. Watch the Red Kites at feeding time

Sunny day’s are perfect for spotting beautiful Red Kites flying in the sky over Wales. Get a closer look at this magnificent bird of prey by visiting one of Wales Red Kite Feeding Stations where you can observe Red Kites swooping into feed. Visit Gigrin Farm in Rhayader or the Red Kite Centre in Carmarthenshire. 


 

2. Take a canal boat over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

Standing at over 120 feet high the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct carries the Llangollen Canal over the River Dee.  On a sunny day cross by narrow boat and you’ll feel as those you are suspended in mid air with stunning views across the Dee Valley.
