Green Man is a contemporary festival of music and arts held at Glanusk Park, Crickhowell. Visitors can enjoy additional entertainment as well as the main stage, which always has some great acts in the ‘line-up’, there are delicious food stall and bar areas. Camping facilities available –you can even ‘rent-a-tent’. Tickets for 2011 go on sale November 1st 2010. |

Ironman Wales - a triathlon, for both women and men, taking place in the county of Pembrokeshire in the southwest of Wales, amongst over 35 conservation areas, 180 miles of coastal park, surrounded by 50 castles. Spectators can experience the excitement of such a challenging event watching the athletes whilst absorbing the picturesque surroundings of the Pembrokeshire coast. |

The Tour of Britain is a highlight on the cycling calendar for top international cyclists and enthusiasts from around the world with over one million spectators watching at the roadside across the eight day event. Full details of the 2011 route and the locations of individual stages will be announced at the National launch in the spring but Wales’s stage is tipped to be an exciting one. |

Commonwealth Mountain and Ultradistance Running Championship – September 23 – 25 | |

The 2nd Commonwealth Mountain and Ultradistance Running Championships will be hosted in three spectacular north-west Wales locations - Llandudno, Llanberis (Snowdon) and Newborough Forest, Anglesey. The combined events of mountain races (Up & Down), ultra-distance races (24 hr event) and trail running (50+km off road) for both men and women will produce a long weekend international festival of running. |

The new “Spirit of Llangollen” events will see some of the best international competitors from the Eisteddfod perform across Wales, a new Choir of the Decade contest: ‘Voices Pavarotti’ (to be held in October at a venue in Cardiff), and a Music and Peace Conference with world-renowned speakers – which will build on the success of the Choir of the World competition at Llangollen. |
