Learn to Surf on your holiday

As part of your summer holiday you may like to take lessons and learn to surf.  Throughout Wales' main surfing areas there are qualified surfing schools offering full and half day courses and activity weekends.

Surfing schools provide a beginner's board and full wetsuit, and your instructor should have you on your feet and riding in a couple of hours. Some surf schools run 'women only' weekends; you usually learn in a small group but one-to-one tuition can be had.

Most surf schools will be open from Easter until October and the sea is 'warmest' in late summer and early autumn.
