Brechfa Mountain Bike Centre
Head out to the woods for a day. Not only providing routes for the more experienced rider, the centre has plenty of room for pootlers. The Derwen trail is a great starting point for families and novices - to be enjoyed at your leisure.

Steam Trains
A living reminder of the Great Western Railway, Gwili is the only standard gauge steam train of its kind in Wales . You can even enjoy a day out with Thomas The Tank or Ivor the Engine - booking early is well advised.
Dolaucothi Gold Mines
Pan for gold, head underground and hear about the workings of these unique mines overlooking the Cothi Valley. Guided tours take visitors through the Roman and the more recent working areas of this 2,000 year old site.
