Richard and Dawn hadn't seen anything like the Mediterranean inspired buildings before, luckily there's also plenty of shops, gardens and ice cream to keep the rest of the family interested too.

Sleep in a yurt on Shell Island

Eco Luxury. Two words you don't hear together very often. It definitely works though. Especially when you’re adding a furnished yurt into the mix. Setting up camp just a stones throw away from the ocean helps. As does throwing some fine Welsh black beef on the BBQ.

Bushcraft in Snowdonia

Give Bear Grylls and Ray Mears a run for their money. Catch your own dinner. Clean and prepare it. Cook it on a fire you built from scratch. Add a squeeze of lemon and enjoy. Then take a nap in a hammock under the shelter you also built from scratch. That's what Bushcraft is all about.
