February Half Term 2012

It seems like only 5 minutes since the kids went back to school and already the February half-term holidays are just around the corner.  You’ve exhausted all the local options for keeping the children entertained and by this point winter seems to have been around forever.  Well the solution is simple, pack your bags and come on over to Wales where there is entertainment and invigoration by the bucket load, no matter what the weather decides to throw at you.

February Half Term Holidays

If you have the winter blues, why not treat yourself to a family holiday in Wales during the February half-term break. There are a massive range of accommodation choices for all budgets, including cottages, caravans, B&Bs and classy hotels.

There are also ample fun things to do for all the family for all ages, so a holiday in Wales could be just the thing to revive those spirits.

Free things to do with kids

Feeling the pinch after Christmas? If so, don’t worry there are plenty of great days out in Wales that won’t cost you a penny. And whilst walks in the mountains can be very refreshing at this time of year, there are also plenty of free indoor activities too.

How about a trip to one of Wales free National Museums where you can learn all about Wales’ history, industry, natural environment and arts.

Things to on a rainy day

You’re up early and raring to go on a great family day out when suddenly the heavens open. But whilst the British weather can be unpredictable, the vast range of things to do on a rainy day in Wales isn’t.

If you’re an animal lover, how about holding a snake or wandering through exotic butterflies? Or for the inquisitive, try discovering science at a Techniquest museum. Check out our things to do on a rainy day page for more great ideas.

Underground attractions

Weather proof your family day out by heading underground.

If you think Wales is spectacular already, wait until you see what secrets we have hidden under the surface.

The mines, caves and even power stations that lurk deep below the rocks provide an exciting and educational day out for all the family. Have a look at the great underground attractions in wales.
